Welcome! We're glad you're here to have fun and enjoy the convention. To keep it enjoyable for everyone, here are a few friendly guidelines:
This is a family-friendly event, so please aim to keep outfits PG to PG-13, especially during daylight hours. If your costume shows a lot of skin, please ensure private areas are covered with solid, opaque clothing at all times. If necessary, wear extra undergarments (e.g., bras, pasties, etc.) to stay comfortable.
For costumes that contour to private body parts, consider wearing additional layers or undergarments such as tights or dance belts as needed.
If your costume involves a lot of exposed skin, you might consider wearing a nude bodysuit or opaque stockings for coverage. Remember: no costume is no costume!
Ice skates (with or without guards) are not permitted as shoes or props. No regular skates, wheeled shoes, or rollerblades inside the event area.
You're welcome to take your shoes off for photo sessions, but please wear them at all other times.
Costumes that resemble law enforcement or other official uniforms should be avoided to prevent confusion.
Please keep language and imagery respectful—no profanity or graphic sexual content on costumes or clothing. Costumes or outfits that are meant to shock or offend be changed or they may be asked to leave.
Accessories like handcuffs, leashes, ropes, or anything attached to a person for restraint are not allowed.
If someone voices a concern about your costume, we’ll review it, and you might be asked to change.
Make sure any pointy props are dulled or blunt to keep everyone safe.
If your costume has large wings or extensions that might block your view or make movement tricky, bring a handler to help you safely navigate.
When taking photos, please step out of hallways and walkways to keep everyone safe and avoid blocking traffic.
Remember, we want everyone to have a good time and feel comfortable. Please be respectful. Cosplay is not consent.
If you’re unsure whether your costume fits the guidelines, feel free to email us at cosplay@animeoklahoma.com.
Thanks for helping us create a safe and fun environment for all!
